When it comes to online marketing, there are always questions. My staff and I go through my forums at BusinessInnerCircle.com all the time and answer questions posted there. Some of them I like to answer live on the show on Tuesday nights as well.
In the 22 December episode of the live Tuesday night show, we did a forum roundup of questions which had been posted during the week. The topics covered were:
1. Is it possible to make money with an Adwords-based website?
Just after reports of Twitter being hacked by the “Iranian Cyber Army” the website now appears to be completely offline. Attempts from several different locations have all resulted in various connection errors.
Previously when users visted the Twitter site they were presented with an image stating that the site had been hacked as some sort of protest over Iran. The hackers also provided the email address: [email protected] as a means of contacting them. This image began appearing 6 a.m. GMT today.
This was a question from the live chat during my 15 Dec 09 show, and I felt it was an important one so I wanted to mention it here.
“To prevent promoting unethical companies, would it be best to just find affiliate offers through known networks? Any advice on this?”
Yes, I do have advice. Here are a couple tips to ensure you are promoting a good product or service:
Google finally gets their fingers into the URL shortener pie.
There are numerous companies who create URL shortener tools. These are tools that take a long url and shorten it so that it fits into a character-limited field like Twitter or a status field in one of your other social networks. They help ensure that your social network messages don’t get cut off, give you more space to say what you want to say, make it easier to forward, share, retweet, etc. without cutting off bits of the long url.
