Online Marketing Tools For the Week

I reviewed a few different tools that I considered to be cool on my live show this week:

1. A special automator service for affiliate marketers (VigLink).

2. A duplicate content finder (Plagium).

3. A grammar assistant tool (Gramlee).

There’s a lot to know and do to be successful in creating an online business.  So tools that make things easier and faster are always welcome, in my opinion.  Just thought it might be nice to share a few of them with you.  Watch the clip from this past week’s show below to see what they are and how they work.  Hope they help!  And feel free to contact me about new tools that you think are cool, as well.

Forum Roundup: Online Marketing Questions Answered

You got questions?  Well…we got answers.

Throughout the week, members of my BusinessInnerCircle.com website ask questions on our forums.  The members help each other, and my staff are there to answer questions as well.  And on Tuesday nights I answer a few of the forum questions live on my show. Two great questions were posed this past week in the forums, so I decided to answer them on the show.

Question 1 was about article writing, its value and the issue of duplicate content.

Mobile Advertising and Google: What’s to Come?

Here it is…the biggest change in advertising since the 90s.  No hype. This is huge. It’s based on several things that all occurred simultaneously.  And here’s all of it:

1. Last week Google released a service for mobile devices called Click to Call.  It enables the mobile device user to find the service or product they’re looking for using a Google search, then click on it directly to contact the business.

Dos and Donts of Recession Marketing

This is one time where it’s VITAL that you don’t follow your instincts. During a recession, it’s common for businesses to cut back their advertising and marketing expenditures. But what you should be doing is the exact opposite.

This has been proven countless times throughout history. According to David Ogilvy, the “Father of Advertising”, “Studies of the last six recessions have demonstrated that companies which do not cut back their advertising budgets achieve greater increases in profit than companies which cut back.” He goes on to say, “In a survey of 40,000 men and women involved in the purchase of 23 industrial products over five years, it was found that share-of-market went up in bad times – when advertising was continued.”

Think about it, when you’re looking for restaurants, doctors, car repair shops or any of thousands of businesses you’ll need to actually visit, what do YOU put in the search field? Chances are you enter your own town into the search so that you don’t just get a list of places all over the world, right? Right. As a business owner, it’s vital that your company is represented online so that it actually shows up in these searches.

Google AdWords Mobile Predictions Happening NOW

I was just talking about this last week on the show, and it looks like today is a big day for mobile advertising!

Google’s really getting serious about mobile advertising.  In November they purchased AdMob, a mobile display ad technology provider, for $750 million.  If you’ve seen skinny horizontal ads at the top of an iPhone app or game, those have most likely been AdMob’s doing.  In the past, AdMob has concentrated on mobile display ads, while Google has focused on search ads.
